The Gendai Reiki Method Gendai Reikiho incorporates traditional Japanese Reikiho, as taught by Mikao Usui with western techniques. It can be used for self or healing of others. In the spirit of Usui Sensei, Gendai Reikiho embraces purification of the mind, body and soul so we can live in the state of perfect harmony, peace and wellness - in alignment with ultimate Truth. The first step in Reikiho is hands-on healing. Gendai Reikiho has no religious persuasion. Gendai Reikiho can be learned by anyone. The founder of Gendai Reikiho Gendai Reikho is the practice of Reiki that was developed by Hiroshi Doi Sensei. Hiroshi Doi Sensei ( Sensei means teacher), is the president of the Gendai Reiki Healing Association, and a member of the Usui Ryoho Gakkai, the original association formed by Usui Sensei. Doi Sensei says, "Gendai Reikiho is not a new school of Reiki, but a new way to practice Reiki. It does not put forth newly developed techniques or lofty theories,and its objective is not the discussion of Usui Sensei as a person or the history of Reiki Ryoho.
